Made a Lucet (Braiding tool)
So, this tool is kinda' cool. I just carved it today, sanded it with a piece of sand stone and drilled out the hole using a piece of burdock stalk. I used P-cord just for an example, but using natural cordage would work all the same. It weaves a very strong sorta' square cord.
The lucet dates back to Viking times and was used to make very strong cords, particularly for clothing or to hang a coin purse, etc. I'd imagine this would be a useful tool for creating very strong rope when needing to suspend something like a deer or whatever with previously inferior strength cord.

So this would be a way to make a cordage or stronger cordage out of say materials such as animal sinew?

Correct, but more likely plant fiber cordage or tanned leather laces.
