Cattail Sun visor

Cattails are fantastic plants. From cordage, food, shelter, and clothing these plants are great. Protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays is just as important to the hunter-gatherer as it is to us in our modern sunglasses. It also helps keep the sun off the face and provides you with a little shad.

Using a checkerboard weave with 20 cattail leaves, you can make an awesome cattail sun visor too!

(I'll get a diagram up soon of how I weaved it. When cattails come back into season, I'll get a full tutorial up but I figured I'd post this to show some of the versatility of cattail)
