Is it our task to continue to train those around us?

There are several thoughts I have about the modern minuteman.

1. Be technically and tactically proficient as light infantryman.

2. Have the arms and equipment to meet the requirements in #1.

3. Be given guidance of those more experienced in field and weapons craft.

So what are your thoughts about the unorganized militia as set forth in The Constitution and other Federal Statutes?

I'm curious to see if others have the same ideas on the next generation of warfighters and patriots.

An organized militia or minuteman unit would hopefully have members trained in light infantry tactics. Currently looking at a couple here in AZ.

As far as having the weapons, that could be a problem with our current administration.

I believe it is our responsibility to train others. That was pounded into me repeatedly over the course of my career. I should be able to step off a curb and get whacked by a bus and have a successor trained and ready to take my place immediately. What has been tough for me is finding other people that are worthy of my experience. Most folks these days are content with Big Brother making their decisions for them, and are oblivious to what's going on in the world around them. The day the balloon goes up, there's going to be a LOT of shocked and totally unprepared folks running around...

I'd gladly share what I have learned with someone else, if they were genuinely seeking out knowledge. Mentoring the next generation to take our place on the line is one of the best legacies you can leave behind, in my honest opinion...
