Honor At Last For Roy P. Benavidez
I didn't feel appropriate to post this in any of the Military sections, as I've not served. I have the deepest respect for those who have.

Not sure about the rest, but I would not have slighted you (actually I am pretty sure the rest would not have slighted you either). Thanks for posting

Thanks. This is a great site and I hold the members in the highest esteem. I have several friends who served in Viet Nam. Their sacrifice is appreciated more than I can say. It is with a heavy heart that I recall the way they were treated upon return to this country. The contemptable manner that so many brave and heroic men were exposed to by the cowards of the left only serves to contrast the dignity and honor of those who answered their country's call to stand and fight when all around others were running and hiding. These were truly remarkable men.

I met MSG Benavidez about a year before he died, what a humble man. He was what being a soldier is all about.
